Hold the Porch Light
One kitchen, one night, one continuous take in the chorus.
A four-piece band, a borrowed kitchen and a song about waiting up for someone. Shot in eleven hours with two lights and a lot of haze.
The band sent the song with one line: it is about the light you leave on. We wrote a treatment around a kitchen at two in the morning.
Caleb built the whole look from two practical lamps and a haze machine. The chorus is one continuous take on a slider, rehearsed nine times before we rolled.
The cut went out three weeks after the shoot and picked up Best music video at Forsyth Park Film Night.
