River Mile 21
Twenty-one miles of the river at night.
A 12-minute documentary about the people who work the river after dark, shot over six nights from a borrowed boat.
We started it between wedding seasons and kept going for six nights.
The crew was four people and one borrowed boat. Sound was recorded on the water and in the tug cabins.
It played at Congress Street Short Film Night and won the audience award at Lowland Documentary Days.
